Ally has 12 years' experience working across the BBC, including 8 years as an Audience Planner for Entertainment, Comedy and BBC Three.
Programmes & campaigns she regularly worked on in that role include Strictly Come Dancing, Dragons' Den, Children in Need and the approach to factual seasons on BBC Three. Ally was also instrumental in developing the detailed proposition for BBC Three’s move to an online-only service.
Prior to being an Audience Planner, Ally spent four years a programme-maker herself, having originally started her career in market research. She has an MSc in Social Research Methods.
Who we are
Ally has a passion for supporting others in the innovation process, and is particularly skilled in finding and using audience insights to meet creative opportunities and business challenges. At the BBC she specialised in understanding young and diverse audiences, in including in-depth projects around disability and LGB portrayal.
Most projects are carried out by Ally, but she also works with trusted and experienced associates where necessary, keeping oversight of all projects.
